Hovercraft
(Based at Newent and Dursley Community Fire & Rescue Stations)
Hovercraft provide a search and rescue capability primarily during wide-area flooding events, capable of operating in areas not accessible to rescue boats, e.g. flood plains with varying degrees of depth, mud, ice, snow and other unstable surfaces.
