Fire and Rescue Improvement Framework
The Fire & Rescue Service nationally are undergoing a process of improvement and the government sets out key areas of national importance which individual Services should be addressing.

The National Framework 2006-08 document sets an overall target to:-
"By 2010, reduce the number of accidental fire related deaths in the home by 20% and the number of deliberate fires by 10%"
In delivering this Service delivery target the government places continuous improvement and use of resources (value for money) at the core of achieving service delivery outcomes. The Fire & Rescue Service is therefore subject to a number of external assessments undertaken by the Audit Commission.
