Our Vision
The Gloucestershire Like Skills Centre will be used to educate young and other vulnerable people about living safely using practical scenarios. Research shows that people, in particular children, retain knowledge and learning better this way, than simply being told ‘what to do’ or ‘what not to do’ in a classroom environment.
The Centre is a first for the county, although not a first of its kind in the UK, and a great deal of local and national research has been carried out so that we have a centre which is fit for the communities of Gloucestershire. Click here to see some existing centres in the UK.
