Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service is planning a major £21 million proposal to build three additional new community fire stations and to transform the current fire stations in Cheltenham and Gloucester. It also includes the provision of a “Life Skills Centre” in Gloucester, which will bring together key organisations working to educate people to live more safely.
It is anticipated all of the new fire stations and the Life Skills Centre will be completed and open for business by early 2010. The project is being funded through the Private Finance Initiative.
