Tewkesbury and I also work for
Morrisons Supermarket as a
butcher. Being a retained firefighter
has many rewards and I feel
very fortunate that Morrisons
release me to attend
incidents in my local
community”

The men and women who make up the retained duty system in Gloucestershire are like their full time colleagues trained to the highest standard to deal with emergencies.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service need people who can respond to incidents in all areas, they are required to carry a pocket alerter which will activate when an emergency call is received and needs to be responded to.
