Community Safety Advisors help advise people in their homes

A simple self-assessment checklist to assess your home's safety from fire is available to download by clicking here.

If, once you have completed the questions, you have any safety concerns or require any further information then telephone the Community Safety Team on 01452 888777 and we would be happy to assist.

We also, on request, offer a FREE Safe and Well visit to discuss all aspects of home safety including your own health and well being. We have a team of dedicated Community Safety Advisors working across the county carrying out Safe and Well visits and giving advice.

If you feel you or someone that you know needs a Safe and Well visit, then contact us on 0800 180 41 40 to arrange your visit or fill in the request form online.

The visit and any smoke alarms required are offered FREE OF CHARGE.

There are also many other websites you can access which provide good fire safety advice. An excellent source of user friendly and basic fire safety advice is the government's 'FireKills' Website which gives top tips on how to protect yourself and your home from potential danger areas such as cooking, smoking, the use of candles in the home and many more.
